Newman University Church Taizé Service

Two 5th year students from the Ember Group, Dan O’Mahony and Johnny McColgan, joined students from across Dublin for a Taizé music and prayer service last night. Secondary school students gathered in Newman University Church on St Stephen’s Green as part of Catholic Schools Week.

The meditative service was followed by pizza and socialising with other students from around the Archdiocese.

“This historic and beautiful church has been a distinctive landmark in Dublin’s city centre for over 150 years and is a place where the faith of the people of the parish community and beyond has been, and continues to be, celebrated.

True to the vision of St John Henry Newman, we foster faith development through respectful dialogue between Church and culture and a meaningful integration of faith and reason.”
